My beloved friend,

One word to spare you I fear some uneasy doubtings! I will write to-morrow, & have been prevented doing so before. In the meantime try to persuade dear Dr Mitford to prefer the tamarinds which he will receive, to cold water—or tamarinds in water, hot or cold! I am pretty well & dearly dearly love you–
