My dearest Friend,
Your letter is an honor to your heart & Genius, had I recollected your Poetry that moment, I could not have said it– Let it pass for ever——
Tell me all you object to in your feelings of my life [1] —because, your criticism will be valuable & useful–
Good Heaven—dear Mary Mitford I’ll do all I can in every way, I have no doubt, it will succeed & extricate her– [2] I thought from what Sergeant Talfourd said, she was independent, when all was paid– I feel for her, poor dear Soul, as she felt for me– I will write her directly–
My subject is Edward the Black Prince entering London with John Prisoner.
I send you a sketch which will explain to you—the composition.
I am My dear Friend
