Ever dearest Miss Mitford– In the greatest of possible hurries, .. on the very verge of post-ruin, .. I write to let you know that the gentleman whose address you sent me, is in town.
You will have received a letter from me today I hope. [2]
Thank you twenty times (in short hand) for telling me of the prosperity of the subscription. I overflow with gladness in considering yours—& with loyalty too!—but for ‘God save the queen’ there is no more time. [3] May God bless you.
