You shall have a little note now– I fear you will think you have got into a nice concern by honoring me with your beautiful Sonnet! [1] —now do not you think so?
Will you tell me by return—the age of Gower & Chaucer at the time of the entry– Was Chaucer 19—& was Gower 45–? [2]
I went to St Mary Overies yesterday & was quite delighted [3] —you have inoculated me to see something in what is not Greek–
