1. Dating based on the probability that RB was sending a copy of his Dramatic Lyrics, published on 28 November 1842, which included his “The Pied Piper of Hamelin.” Mary Earles (1814–1901) was born at Shoreditch, Hackney, a daughter to William Earles, a clerk in the Bank of England, and his wife, Elizabeth (née Chester). At some point, RB, Sr. presented Mary and her sisters his version (with drawings) of the Pied Piper (see Reconstruction, J106).
