1. George Morrall (1828–99), son of John Morrall of Cleobury Mortimer, Shropshire, and his wife, Elizabeth (née Benbow). In the 1861 England census he is listed at 7 Bloomsbury Road, Wolverhampton, with his wife and two young daughters. His occupation is given as “Forge Man.” Preserved with this letter are three photographs enclosed by RB: head & shoulders of the 1858 Macaire photograph of EBB (see Reconstruction, F26); the Alessandri photograph of EBB taken on 27 May 1861 in Rome, variant A (see Reconstruction, F46); and a photograph of Mignaty’s oil painting of the drawing room at Casa Guidi (reproduced as the frontispiece to vol. 29).
