Dear Browning

I am sorry I was away when you came here on Friday [1] —we both very much regretted not having been in, but hope that some day not very distant you will look in again & find us—for indeed we are rarely out during the day–

I should have sent the Bust yesterday,—but if you want it for your London house—there’s no necessity for packing– I can send it safely in a cab: though, if for the country, it should certainly be packed—and I shall do either so soon as you kindly favor me with a line telling me which it is to be.

I do hope, some day soon, to see the dear Boy himself: & I wish he could extend his ride across the Park [2] far enough to reach here––except Tuesday & Wednesday, I am at home all this week.

My wife joins me in kindest remembrances
