1. A review by Haydon, dated 12 June 1843, of Cunningham’s Life of Sir David Wilkie appeared in the July issue of The Civil Engineer and Architect’s Journal (pp. 225–227). He was very critical of Cunningham’s many “careless inaccuracies, which could have been all remedied by proper inquiry and revision.”
