Dearest friend, one word to say that we have a clue to Flush!– I am easier of course.

The organized dog-banditti in London have three chiefs (it is said) who make four thousand a year by the trade. But we touch the victim,—& shall rescue him I think.

It is only fair to tell you this after my lamentation yesterday.

Oh!– May there be good news to tell tomorrow!
