You suggest a paper on the novelists. Yes, you are right—certainly.
Allow me to submit the enclosed. [2]
Is there any other paper Your Majesty would be pleased to order? Instantly, it will be mentioned “in the proper quarter”—an article will be written in the air—printed there—and a proof come flying to your serene foot.
As for the time—take your own for Carlyle—i e within a week, or so– I have subdued the publishers to a degree of reason on the subject of time.
Make any comments in the margin of the proof that strike you. The article is not written by me.
