Offered for sale in Spencer’s Catalogue, 1903. 1 p., 8vo. RB asks of “My dear Ward,” that an article be accepted for “Hood’s Magazine.” [2] Speaks of Monckton Milnes as “a man of men, and dear good fellow, a friend of every good body.” [3]

1. Dated by RB’s contributions to Hood’s Magazine in 1844 and 1845.

2. Since RB specifically mentions an article, rather than verse, we assume he is making a request on behalf of a third party.

3. Milnes was a frequent contributor to Hood’s Magazine, commencing with poems entitled “The Exhaustion of Life” and “The Solitude of Life,” in the April 1844 issue (pp. 326–327).
