Offered for sale by James Lowe, New York City, Catalogue 16 (1981), item 21. 1½ pp., 8vo. “There is but one answer to such a note as your kind one– I will certainly come and be happy, if Thursday finds me here, as I hope it will. My sister would be delighted to go with me; and still trusts to extend her acquaintance with Mrs. Marston [1] and yourself—but she is quite incapable to leave home at present. She desires her best … [wishes sent] to you—and I, in spirit, shake your hand most cordially, my dear Marston.”
1. Marston had married Eleanor Jane Potts, the eldest daughter of the proprietor of Saunders’s News Letter, in 1840. She died in 1870.
