Correspondence

1561.  Richard Hengist Horne to EBB

As published in The Brownings’ Correspondence, 8, 243.

[London]

Tuesday Morng [5 March 1844] [1]

My dear Miss Barrett–

I send you a set of the India-paper proofs—in case the impressions to the copy sent (which I had not time to select) should not be good.

Yours truly

R.H.H

P.S. Write in the margin as much as you like. When you return me the copy, I will send you another. You can extract any of the prints (before sending the books to me) if they are good enough.

Address: Miss E. B. Barrett.

Publication: None traced.

Manuscript: Pierpont Morgan Library.

1. Dated by letter 1560, in which Horne told EBB to “Mark the margins” of her copy freely.
