My dear Miss Barrett,
(I am writing in a dark twilight) Your having printed all your poems without my seeing any—though you wished me,—makes me feel like an ungrateful monster. [2] Could you not have spared me that, by letting me fancy I helped you with one of them? I send you “Graham.” The Revw of “Orion” is a curiosity throughout. [3] Please to return when done with.

P.S. Well, perhaps I shall never trouble myself with the Philistines of the press, after all; but if I do reply, I think even they will have—guess what? [4]
