I am told, my dear Miss Barrett, that you are making yourself ill with printers’ proofs. Fie on’t! [1] What are a few days? Besides, here am I—“standing, and waiting.” [2] Let me help you.

I mean—if you like to send me your proofs with your final (Oh dread word!) revisions, and the printer’s address, with a note of “authority” from the AUTHORESS, [3] I will go to the printing office and see the things done.
