Miss Barrett presents her compliments to Messrs Wiley & Putnam, & will be very much obliged by their forwarding the accompanying packet, which is as usual confided to their care, to the hands of Mr Mathews of New York, .. by the ship about to sail. [2]

2. Presumably the Quebec, which, according to The Sunday Times (28 July), was to sail for New York on 7 August.
