1745.  EBB to Messrs. Wiley & Putnam

Miss Barrett presents her compliments to Messrs Wiley & Putnam, & desires to return to them her sincere thanks for their courtesy. She wd willingly take advantage of the access they have the goodness to offer to their reading room, if her health wd admit of her going out,—but, this not being the case, she is encouraged to request that, in the case of there being any notice of her poems in the American periodicals, &c, Messrs Wiley & Putnam wd furnish her with them. Mr Mathews promised to send from Mr Langley her publisher at New York, some copies of the American edition of her poems & a few other things, by the steamer of the tenth of October,—which perhaps, on their arrival, Messrs Wiley & Putnam will kindly forward to her, at an early opportunity.
