Dearest Mary, An hour or two ago I sent you a note to ask you to come to us on friday evening instead of thursday. Now, I write to propose saturday, because Miss Haworth cant come on friday, she writes, & I wanted her to meet you. Still, if you choose friday rather & would fainer be alone, .. why decide .. I speak as to a wise woman—judge you what I say. [2] Only let me know by a word.
