Dearest Fanny,

It shall be saturday, if you please. I tremble rather in naming any day, as just now I am in durance vile (or noble) with my child, whose nurse goes to see her mother for a fortnight, & leaves me to wash, dress, & comfort, as I best may, the poor darling– He says he shall cry notwithstanding.

But I think I can contrive to give him to somebody to be amused for me, on saturday at three, just while we see the pictures. Thank you for caring to think of us.
