Many happy returns of your birth day, Ba! I hope you will play about & be jolly—and go out & kiss the black lamb but I cannot go to the farm because you will put me on the bull or the cow and the bull will not like it & will toss me up in the air with both his horns but we will play about and hoop in the sun, & be jolly– I wish you was a man, & had a load of pound notes or guineas, to buy me sealing wax to seal my letters with– I hope it will be a happy day for you & I hope Papa will take me on his horse with him– Tell him I will be much obliged to him—& we will be jolly fellows. Dearest Ba! I will play with you, & love you very much like a g[e]ntleman.
