Will you just give me this one day more? You shall assuredly have the note for Cranch, besides the proper thanks for your good nature. I send a number or two of Dickens. [2] (A letter just now from Lytton—rather discouraging as to his visit.)

2. Probably issues of Household Words. EBB refers to one of its articles, that she had read “the other day,” in letter 3259. Another, though less likely, possibility would be numbers of Bleak House, being published serially at this time; see letter 3200, note 5.
