My dear Milnes,
The Bearer of this, Mr Wood, a young sculptor of great promise, would needs make medallions of my wife & myself, here at Florence. [1] He loves poets & poetry very heartily, & would particularly like to show you what he has done. I assure him & myself that you will let me be the intermediary in this, and that you will “look to like, if looking liking move.” [2] I am in the trouble of departure for Rome to-morrow—& it is night now, so commending my wife & myself to the remembrance of Mrs Milnes, pray do you remember me for
