My dearest Fanny

I am so shaken in a bottle here that I am in a constant bubble– If I had much of the milk of human kindness [1] I should have the butter of it by this time. We go on tuesday. So if you come on monday you will find me .. & find me very glad.

Our address in London is 13 Dorset street Baker street—and if Mr Spicer is not saved finally by his star from making my acquaintance, I dare say, by your account, I shall like him very much– Indeed I ought to have written to him before now—in answer to what he wrote to me—but I did’nt know where to find him at the right moment–

How I congratulate you on your Americans! [2] Pray never name us. They might, as you say, challenge Robert—or they might .. call!–

Do offer our regards to Mrs Haworth. How kind she was to us, & how hospitable! As to you, Fanny, you are long past praising.
