Dear Mr Browning

Allow me to call my name to your recollection, & let me indulge the hope that I may renew at Knebworth the personal acquaintance made so many years ago at Macready’s[.] [1] My son informs me that he has already forestalled me in expressing the pleasure it would give to us both to see Mrs Browning & yourself at Knebworth, which is only an hour from Town—I expect to be there within a fortnight & I will now only add my assurance, of the pride & gratification I should experience in receiving two guests so eminently distinguished[.]

May I beg my best compliments to Mrs Browning[.]
