My dear Browning.

I am here with a small portion of my family (my wife, & Adelaide &c return on Monday)—and tomorrow, Sunday, I dine at home at six o’Clock. I wonder whether Mrs Browning will part with you & whether you will come & dine with me then. Say ‘yes’—willingly I hope, but at all events ‘yes’.

I shall find your answer on my return home tonight. Kind regards to Mrs B.
