2. On 5 January 1856, François Auguste Alexis Mignet (1796–1884) delivered a lecture at the French Institute on the life and works of the philosopher Pierre Laromiguière (1756–1837). It was published later in the year as Notice historique sur la vie et les travaux de M. Laromiguière: lue à la séance publique annuelle du 5 janv. 1856.
