You received—or will, I hope, receive, the sheets for “Aurora Leigh” to p. 336. I now send duplicates of these to p. 96: and further sheets to p. 368, or end of the Eighth Book: there will follow the ninth, to page 404, and duplicates so far as obtainable, by next week’s packet. You shall then be informed of the day of publication here—which they are anxious should not be deferred beyond Nov. 15, I believe. You will also receive the Dedication. [1]

1. Aurora Leigh is dedicated to John Kenyon. Dated 17 October 1856, the dedication page reads, in part: “The words ‘cousin’ and ‘friend’ are constantly recurring in this poem, the last pages of which have been finished under the hospitality of your roof, my own dearest cousin and friend. … Through my various efforts in literature and steps in life, you have believed in me, borne with me, and been generous to me, far beyond the common uses of mere relationship or sympathy of mind.”
