My dear blessed & beloved Ba & Addles–
I cannot let the Cake go without sending not what I can call my congratulations to you on the return of your birth days, [1] because I know & feel the congratulations are due to myself in having been blessed above all desert with such dear beloved & affectionate Children, but to tell you how continualy grateful I am to my God that He has permitted the Days again to come round, finding you in health & I trust & believe in increased knowledge & love of Him– May His presence be always with you & may you & all my other dear Pets partake more & more of that blessed Spirit which is an eornest [sic] of their future inheritence. I can wish you nothing above this– I commend you to the care of our good Lord and pray Him that as hitherto He has helped you, so He will be pleased to continue to do so even unto the end–
Yr most affectionate
