I cant go away my dear Mrs Kinney without seeing you & I was very vexed to find your card here last night when we had, ourselves, been on the way to visit you & were crossed in our intention– This evening we would try again, but Isa Blagden is coming from the Villa, & I am driven to throw myself on your generosity & ask if you will come here & meet her. Will you? How kind it would be! We have tea at nine–

We go away tomorrow for a few weeks, more or less. This heat is too overcoming.

Do be kind & come tonight, & let me think I have seen you. Affectionately yours
