My dear Mr Browning

How can I sufficiently thank you for your kindness[?] Your last letter has much relieved my intense anxiety & I pray that I may have continued good accounts. Tell my dear Son—that I hope we shall meet soon– I shall try to come to Italy as early as I can in the Autumn & we can arrange to meet where he likes. But if he continues ill—or would like to see me, I will start at once– I am sure that, with you near him, he will have good attendance. The gastrite [sic] fever, not uncommon, I believe in Italy—requires time for its after care– And I do earnestly adjure him to be very regular in hours & diet for many weeks after the fever leaves him, & above all to avoid, Sunsets & Malaria.

I look forward to your bulletins from day to day, as yet– Meanwhile believe me most cordially & most gratefully yours, with sincere remembrances & thankful ones to Mrs Browning
