Dear Mr Powers, will you come to us very early this evening? We hope Mr Kinney may come. And we shall have Mrs Newton Crosland our countrywoman who has already I believe, had the pleasure of introducing herself to you. Do come early—as soon after seven as you can.

1. Dated by EBB’s invitation to Powers. In the third to last paragraph of letter 4093, EBB writes that, along with Mrs. Crosland and others, “Mr. Powers was here last night.”
