My dearest Sarianna Robert says I have just a moment to write in—just to thank you for all your kindness. I am sure that considering all your disadvantages of time & also the advancing season you have done the best—& that the decision between Mr Byrne & the rooms in question was wisely made. We must do what we can– Have you remembered to get a little crib put up for Peni in my room? Dont come to meet us at the railway, because we may stay at Rouen,—& also in the confusion of an arrival and being omnibus’ed, .. it is better not. Let us see you rather in the evening, you & the dearest Nonno to whom my best love with Peni’s & Robert’s. We missed him & you from the grace at dinner onwards to night.

Dearest,—just one word to thank you & say that I got Ba to submit to another photographizing & the result is most successful [1] —all I could wish! There was some fault in the original way of projecting the forehead—it threw distorting shadows on the chin—as it is, we have got the true thing at last, as you will be delighted to see.
