Dearest Sophie made up of goodness,

We think it will be well of course to “write on.” And for the rest, we would rather of course take your wishes for the rule of dinner—only, as far as our experience goes, dining in the middle of the day seems somewhat better—& healthier, especially as far as regards the children. But decide, you.

The delightful drive yesterday did me no harm but the contrary,—and .... but oh, I am not to keep Peni.
