Dearest Sophie,

I am going to a dreadful tryst at the dentist’s today at twelve [2] —but at two I shall be at home .. & if you will come as soon after as pleases you, dear, you wont mind .. will you? .. if, at three, we snatch our hasty dinner, remaining afterwards at your service? How good you are to me & mine .. even to the poor little room we have lived in so happily this winter–
