[Florence]

[?June 1859] [1]

My dearest & too kind Sophie, you are always yourself— Can I say any more?–

Do you remember (besides) asking me if I should love you, in the case of your “doing some wicked thing.” Now the only wicked thing you ever seemed to do to me was mulcting me of you the other evening. Observe therefore, & calculate.

But as to “rudeness” .. that’s not a word between you & me. Only I was mulcted … poor me!

Dear, I will drive with you today, when you like—not too long &, not too late—but I will drive with you——thank you ever.

Dear Mr Eckley is on his feet to go, I fear– I must end–

But we shall meet–

Your loving

Ba
