On the reverse of this fragment, Francesco Dall’Ongaro has written a short epigram entitled “Perché da Porta Pia,” which has been identified and dated by RB: “Florence, February, 1860.” We use this information as the basis for our dating. This fragment was given to Philibert Milsand (Joseph Milsand’s younger brother) for his autograph collection.
