My dear Browning,

The time approaches when I may hope to see you and Mrs Browning and the equestrian in Florence. I am now writing to beg of you to send one pound one to the Rev: F.H. Scrivener[,] Falmouth. [1]

I subscribed 2 years ago for a book he was then about to publish, and which is now come out and delivered. [2] I know not how to send the money if I had it, but I have not a fortieth part of it.
