Dearest Isa, Come, come, come. I am more alive than last night.! Only, as there’s another night tomorrow, it will be well perhaps to part early.

Robert will go for you early so as to lose no time.

Dating suggested by the remark “Robert will go for you early.” At Siena in 1860, Isa lived close enough to the Brownings that RB could have fetched her in order to begin an evening with EBB before other guests arrived. Otherwise, Isa would have had to wait for one of the Brownings’ guests to escort her.
