Ferdinando Romagnuoli has been in my service for the last ten years, and only leaves it now in consequence of the calamity which puts an end to my stay in Florence. I can give him the best of characters for honesty, sobriety and kindliness of disposition: he is an excellent Cook and knows the Markets well both in Rome and Florence. He is accustomed to travel, has accompanied me to Paris and London, and can act as Courier if required. I recommend him strongly to anyone requiring a perfectly trust-worthy servant.
