I have the honor to acquaint you that <you> were this day unanimously Elected by the Committee a Member of the Athenæum; under the Provisions of Article <2> of the Rules, a Copy of which I beg leave to send herewith. [2]
I have therefore to request that <you> will cause to be paid to Messrs Drummond, the Bankers of the Society, the Entrance Fee (30 Guineas) and Subscription for the Current Year 18<62> (6 Guineas) being £37.16.0.
