Siccome già le scrissi, è stato, radunato il consiglio municipale, per decidere sulla deliberazione presa dal Magistrato dello stesso municipio. Ieri la proposta fu approvata coll’unanimità dei suffragi. La iscrizione è già scolpita sul marmo; non resta ora che metterla sulla Casa Guidi, che per tutti noi è divenuta storica.

Mi conservi la sua amicizia, e mi creda sempre

As I wrote you, the municipal council gathered to decide on the deliberation taken by the Magistrate of the same council. Yesterday the proposal was approved by unanimous vote. The inscription has already been carved on the marble; now the only thing left is to put it on Casa Guidi, which has become historic for all of us.
