Dear Miss Heaton,

I am very much obliged to you for your kind offer to receive Robert, but to-morrow—& indeed all other mornings, his engagements are stringent—he is “at school” now, and never breaks into the regularity of his studies: but there shall be some way found to let him see you.

I keep that Photograph for you but it was too large to carry yesterday.

Ever yours most faithfully

Robert Browning.

Address: Miss Heaton / 125. Marylebone Road. / N.W.

Publication: None traced.

Manuscript: Carl H. Pforzheimer Collection.
