Will you forgive the liberty I take in commending to your attention a m.s. by my friend Mr Corkran: [1] he is well known to many whose recommendation would carry far more weight than mine—but time presses, and an immediate decision is particularly desirable in this case,—may I venture to solicit one, therefore? as well as a kind and fair consideration of the work itself.
