1. Elisabeth Benzon (née Lehmann, 1827–78), wife of Ernst Leopold Benzon (né Schlesinger, 1819–73), wealthy scion of a Hamburg Jewish family, who were successful iron manufacturers. The Benzons are listed in RB’s address book of this period (AB-5) at 10 Kensington Palace Gardens.
