Dear Miss Heaton,

I go out of town to-morrow, for a couple of days, [1] and shall be much engaged on my return; but I will endeavour to do what you wish.

I shall be happy to go with you at any time to Mr Prinsep’s studio [2] —but I doubt if he has anything considerable to show at this moment. I should like much to call with you at Mr. E. Jones’ [3] —a man of great genius, with beautiful things in hand &, perhaps, on hand.

1. We have been unable to determine the purpose or destination of RB’s trip “out of town.”

2. Val Prinsep (1838–1904) is listed in the Brownings’ second address book (AB-4) at “46 Upper Charlotte St., Fitzroy Square.” In RB’s address book of this period (AB-5) Prinsep’s first address listed is 5 Courtland Place, Kensington.

3. Burne-Jones’s residence, which contained his studio, is listed in AB-4 and AB-5 at 62 Great Russell Street.
