1. Louisa Browning (1807–87), RB’s half-aunt, was the fourth daughter of Robert Browning (1749–1833), RB’s grandfather, and his 2nd wife, Jane (née Smith, 1771–1848). She and her sister, Sarah (1814–1902), ran a school in Dartmouth Row, Blackheath, until about 1861 when they moved to 1. Maitland Park Crescent, Haverstock Hill, and subsequently to 32 Maitland Park Road. See RB’s address book of this period (AB-5).
