I forgot the principal thing yesterday. I am sure your kindness will attend to it, as it is very important. Whenever you next send that way, will you oblige me by lending your Medallion Profile of E.B.B.—that executed by Marshall Wood [1] —to Mr Leighton, 2. Orme Square, Bayswater.

1. Marshall Wood (1835–82), sculptor (see letter 3280, note 2), executed medallion portraits of both Brownings in 1853 (see letter 3286, note 17). Apparently, RB and Frederic Leighton considered incorporating an image of EBB in the design for her monument. But as RB later writes” “It could not be and I think never can” (see letter 5298).
