My dear Reuben,

Brini writes to me that he has drawn on you for £80 [1] —payable on the 25th of this month. I enclose you a cheque for that sum, with apologies for the trouble. We are at the old place, my father perfectly well—and Sarianna and Robert just as usual. The weather, however, is not so favorable as we found it last year. I suppose I shall return to London at the end of the first week in October.

I hope you and all your Family are well: some of the fine fresh air now blowing and blustering would be well bestowed on friends at home.

All desire their kindest love to you. Would be [sic, for it] be too much trouble to acknowledge the receipt of this?—if you like, by merely sending a newspaper to the address above.
