My dear Sir,

Thank you very much for the book & pamphlet which I shall read with interest.

The verses of our friend [1] are wonderful in themselves: there will be no harm in printing them.

If you have made no arrangement about sending the “Ath.” regularly to Florence,—I will do so directly: (it is just possible that you may have mentioned it to the Editor—though not very likely.) If I hear nothing by return of post, or say, on Monday, I will post the first number to Florence, & henceforward take care that they arrive without interruption.
