I am sorry indeed to find myself unable to dine with you on the 1st March, as you so kindly propose; it is very good of you to remember me and think of calling here—but the distance is formidable, and I should never dream of putting my friends to the trouble of what might be a fruitless journey after all, as I am often out. However, anywhere & anyhow, I shall always be happy to see you.
